Spread a little bit of winter cheer! Donate a plush bear, book, or blankie to a homeless child and help end family homelessness in Connecticut!
The average cost of keeping a family housed is $1,000. Please consider sponsoring a family or holding a "bear-raiser" with your family, friends and colleagues.
Hold a Paddington "bear-raiser" drive!
Would you like to hold a drive to help local children this winter? Your community can join the fight against homelessness by signing up to hold a bear-raiser drive. For every $25 your team raises, we will gift a Paddington bear, book, or blankie in your honor to a child in shelter. The more bears you raise, the greater your impact.
For every Paddington bear, book, or baby gift you donate or raise through this website, a gift of $25 will be made to the be homeful project. Since 2015, the be homeful project has prevented more than 500 children in families from ever having to experience the hardship of homelessness in the first place by providing much-needed emergency funds that frontline workers can access to help families in your community remain housed. In short, your gift will provide critical emergency assistance to give families on the verge of homelessness what they most want: a home. Thanks to the CT REALTORS® Foundation and to Citizens Bank for their valuable support of our campaign, every dollar you raise or donate will allow CCEH to provide emergency assistance to help children in Connecticut stay at home through the be homeful project.
