Does your school care about neighbors in need? The Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness has joined forces with the iconic Paddington™ bear to give teachers tools for raising awareness about how homelessness affects local children and raise funds to help children in their communities remain housed. All participating classes will be entered to win a visit from Paddington™ himself and the class that raises the most between October 1st and Thanksgiving will win also win a personal visit with our "spokesbear."
View our lesson plans and visit our Paddington’s Marmalade Challenge page to sign your class up to hold a drive this holiday season! Funds raised provide much-needed emergency assistance to help prevent local families facing homelessness from having to enter the shelter system in the first place. Since the Coalition launched be homeful in 2015, funds have prevented close to 500 children from becoming homeless .
